I can say that this is one of the best episode of The Blacklist that I have watched so far. The plot is rich and hard to guess, the performance credible, and the level of complication was simply through the roof. Kudos to the team for pulling off another amazing episode again.
I was kept on my toe from the beginning to the end. Wow, the concept of 2 Red is simply intriguing. How can the Red that we have grown fond of over the years be an imposter in the end? And if he really is, he must be damn good in his performance. And I must admit that the script writers really thought out of the box, and gave Red a perfect reason to clean his name and kill all suspicions of other crime lords again.
As for Liz, well, it’s predictable to write her pregnancy into the plot, now that she has been pregnant for almost 7 months. It’s predictable, and a little bit soap opera, but well, it seems there is no better way to do it. Anyway, it will make the plot more interesting and complicated, which may be a blessing in disguise for the producers. A young woman with a newborn, against an enormous crime machine, that alone is a lot to dig into. Let’s see how it turns out in the end.
The next episode, The Vehm, aired last Thursday, was not that brilliant. Not a bad one, but nothing outstanding. Probably just to set the stage for the major events that will be coming as Red prepares for an all out war against the Cabal to protect Liz and her baby. Anyway, it’s good to see Liz back to her dark hair colour. Blonde really did not suit her very well (even Red had to admit that by saying “I missed you” and looking so stunned when she showed him the hair colour).
